Rachelle Dardeau, M.S., M.S.W., – Administrator |
|
Rachelle Dardeau, M.S., M.S.W., joined the Silverado Senior
Living Calabasas team in March 2007. She hails from the
Southern California area, having had vast experience in
Geriatric healthcare for over 10 years. Rachelle received her
MS in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas, and
her Master's of Social Work from Louisiana State University.
Ms. Dardeau is known for her excellence in leadership, creative
problem solving, and outstanding relationships with others. Her
passion for seniors, with focus on dementia care has been
evident with her successes as the director of Regions for the
Los Angeles Alzheimer's Association, and more recently her work
as Director of Specialized Ambulatory Geriatric Evaluation at
the Sherman Oaks Hospital.
Rachelle loves to spend her free time with family and friends.
She enjoys celebrating her French heritage through Cajun
cooking, art, and music and of course, LSU football. Geaux
Tigers!!

Medical Director: Dan Osterweil, MD,
MscEd, CMD |

Dr. Dan Osterweil’s commitment to improving the lives of our
elders can be seen in the focus of his career. A professor of
medicine at UCLA, he completed a geriatrics fellowship at UCLA.
He is currently the editor-in-chief of the Journal of the
American Medical Directors Association (JAMDA) and member of
Caring for the Ages editorial board. He is a Co-Director of the
Multicampus Program in Geriatrics and Gerontology, UCLA as well
as the Director of a UCLA training program in medical
management, and a research associate with the UCLA Borun Center
for Gerontological Research. Dr. Osterweil co-authored two
editions of Medical Care in the Nursing Home and has published
extensively in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Osterweil is the founder of the Specialized Ambulatory
Geriatric Evaluation (S+AGE) Clinic, a community-based,
geriatric assessment center in Sherman Oaks. His areas of
expertise include cognitive and functional assessment,
especially fall assessment, management of dementia, pressure
ulcers, and continuous quality improvement in the nursing home.
Dr. Osterweil is Director of the Mid-Career Assessment Course at
UCLA and the Primary Care Program of the California Geriatric
Education Center. He is a former Fellowship Director of the UCLA
Multicampus Program in Geriatric Medicine & Gerontology, and a
former Medical Director at the Jewish Home for the Aging. He
brings expertise in planning and implementation of the work
processes in the nursing home, communication with physicians and
administrators, as well as in-depth knowledge of nursing home
state and federal regulations. |

Mary Johnson, RN – Director of
Health Services |
|
Mary came to Silverado Senior Living – Calabasas in 2003 with
over 15 years of experience in Nursing with special training in
Dementia. Mary attended LA Valley College and UCLA for her
Nursing education.
Mary has also worked in Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living at
the Jewish Home and at Sherman Oaks Hospital in Geropsy Dept.
She was a Palliative Care Nurse.

Hilary Russo-Ebenstein – Director of
Resident Engagement |

 Hilary
is proud to say she has been with Silverado Senior Living –
Calabasas since the doors first opened in October 1999. “The
minute I walked through the door, I knew this was going to be my
home away from home!”
Hilary comes to us after spending many years in the medical,
educative and entertainment fields. Hilary started as our
Receptionist, was promoted to Assistant Director of our Adult
Day Program and then to Director of Resident Engagement. In her
position as Director of Resident Engagement everything in her
background came together at Silverado. “The reciprocity of
shared energy between Associates and Residents is phenomenal in
our community here in Calabasas.”
