American Psychological Association, Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award – Best Practices
Washington, D.C., April 9, 2006 — After earning one of three awards for the state of Utah, Silverado Senior Living- Aspen Park was presented with The American Psychological Association (APA) Psychologically Healthy Workplace: Best Practices Honors award. This national award was given for Silverado’s practice of flexible work hours, family support options, training programs and promotion of physical and emotional health and wellness.
As listed in the APA Monitor, “This Utah senior living community encourages family members of both residents and staff to join in facility activities. One-quarter of the staff now brings children to work, where they play games, read, swim and make crafts along-side seniors. The Aspen Park branch holds the highest employee satisfaction ratings of Silverado’s 14 communities.”
